#2 – Attend International Parties
Attending international parties, especially in the major cities like Tokyo and Osaka, is one of the best ways to get a Japanese girlfriend. Some parties are seasonal, some are monthly, and they change regularly, so it’s best to just type “international party” and your city name into a search engine. While Google is most popular globally, Yahoo.co.jp is a popular search engine in Japan, so consider searching there as well. Obviously there may not be a local international party if you live outside the major cities, but there are still likely to be people in your area that want to meet foreign men. So if there isn’t a party locally, consider creating your own on Meetup.com or jmty.jp.
#3 – Attend as many business events as you can, such as those held by the American Chamber of Commerce (ACCJ), or Tokyo American Club (TAC)
The quality of Japanese women at business events will be better than you’ll find elsewhere, and women are generally more friendly, open, and easier to approach at these events compared to a meetup or party.
#4 – Attend Meetups
Attending meetups (meetup.com) is a great way to meet people with similar interests in person.
#5 – Jimoty (jmty.jp)
There’s a popular classified ads website in Japan that has a section entitled メンバー募集. Here you can search for people meeting in your area with various interests. Or you can post an ad for whatever kind of group meeting or event you’d like to organize. This option works best if you speak some Japanese, but it’s a better option than Meetup.com if you live outside the major cities.
#6 – Gaijin Bars like “The Hub” in Roppongi.
It’s harder to approach women in places like this, and the quality of women are probably lower, on average, than the options above, but gaijin bars are an option we shouldn’t disregard entirely.
#7 – Clubs
I’m going in order from best to worst, and clubs is not a great way to meet women. You might meet a woman to spend the night with, but you’re unlikely to make a long-term connection at a club. But I would still rate clubs as more promising than online apps, generally speaking.
#8 – HelloTalk, the app
It’s better and easier to meet women in person than to use an online app. But if you have to go the online route, there are worse options than HelloTalk.

These are the 2 most popular sites for meeting marriage-minded Japanese women. On Reddit, foreigners report problems with ID verification with Pairs.lv.
